More Toy Camera Photos

Again, these were multiple exposure photos taken with a Bazooka camera (you know, from Bazooka bubble gum/comics), it used 126 film and the shutter was independent of the advance, so I often accidentally made multiple exposures (although these were deliberate.)

Toy camera photos

Four photographs taken with a tiny 110 camera purchased at a dollar store. I actually bought a few of these cameras and tried modifying them, but they were so tiny and flimsy I ended up just using them as is. I used to carry one around in my pocket, nice lo-fi grainy photos, years before cell-phone cameras (these photos date from the mid-1990's.)

Cheap Experimental Photography

When my Bazooka Bubble Gum camera finally broke (I couldn't get 126 film for it anymore anyway) I moved onto a cheap 35mm camera (like the ones they used to give away with magazine subscriptions, made to look like a fancy SLR but basically a point-and-shoot, yet another poor man's Holga), and here are a few of the psychedelic photos I took (using colored filters and/or multiple exposures.)

Far out.

Face Stencils vs. Photos

So after I made the last batch of stencils (specifically for possible limited edition album pressings) I decided the "face" stencil came out best and started making more. However none were as striking as that first face stencil (to me anyway), then I noticed the leftover paper from cutting the stencils looked more interesting than the final spray-painted stencils. . . so I took some photos of the leftover papers in various locales near my apartment. Now what the hell am I going to do with all these face stencils?

Bazooka photos

Four more photos from my early 90's amateur avant/experimental photo phase. All these were done with a toy camera I got via mail order from Bazooka Bubble Gum.

Photo "scroll"

After my Bazooka camera died I tried switching to a cheap 35mm camera and used it to take multiple exposure pics. This was one attempt that ended up as a long scroll of overlapping exposures. (Click on the photo for a better detail.)

Bazooka camera photos

In 1990 I bought a camera from Bazooka Bubble gum ("$1.29 and 90 comics")-- cheapo thing that used 126 film (which they didn't make for much longer at that point), but it was kind of like a poor man's Holga. I loved how the shutter was independent of the film advance so it was easy (dangerously easy, if you weren't keeping track) to take multiple exposures. Here are a few.
